Hi, if you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re looking for support, understanding, and a way to move forward. I know that place well—I’ve been there myself.

I’m a middle-aged, menopausal woman who had a full hysterectomy in March 2024. My journey has been anything but smooth. I’ve struggled with depression, anxiety, low self-worth, and a lack of confidence for much of my life. For years, I felt stuck in destructive thought patterns, unable to break free.

But through my own healing journey, I discovered these life-changing things:

  • Understanding the root cause is the best way to start moving forward.
  • We already have the answers within us—sometimes we just need help unearthing them from the jumble in our mind.
  • By connecting directly with the subconscious mind, we can release phobias, reframe past experiences that are holding us back, reduce stress and anxiety, and much more.
  • When we understand how our cognitive brain works and learn to exercise it, we can improve our mental health, deal with challenges more effectively, and even boost our productivity.

This realisation ignited a passion in me—to help others, especially women navigating perimenopause and menopause, to break free from the limiting beliefs and behaviours that hold them back. Because let’s be honest, menopause is so much more than hot flushes and night sweats. It can shake your confidence, trigger self-doubt, and make you feel like you’ve lost yourself. But it doesn’t have to be that way.

As well as being a Life Coach, I am a registered Control System Practitioner, which means I can help you connect with your subconscious mind enabling you to make deep and lasting changes. This is not about relaxation, trances or years of talking things through – it’s about taking control, changing thought and behaviour patterns and giving you the tools to move forward with confidence and without the obstacles that have been in your way.

This site isn’t just for women, most of us have phobias – spiders, flying etc, habits we want to break or build but for some reason can’t make it stick, and behaviours we’d like to change but think ‘it’s just how I am’. All of these can be changed in just a few sessions. 

I know what it’s like to feel lost and have fears that prevent me from doing things I would love to do, but I also know that change is possible and I’m here to help you find your way.

Who am I?

I’m Karen Harris — a daughter, wife, friend, colleague, football fan, lover of rom-coms and vampire movies, and someone who’s often described as “really easy to talk to.”

I’ve spent my entire working life in people-focused roles, from pub management and customer service through to Executive Assistance and HR. Across all of these roles, the part I’ve always loved most has been getting to know people as individuals — understanding what they need and how best to support them so they can thrive.

Nearly 20 years ago, partly through my own life experiences, I realised I wanted to help people on a more personal level. That’s when I began studying and building the skills to do just that.

Today, I have a toolkit of methods, experience and knowledge that allows me to support people in meaningful ways — and it genuinely makes me happy to see clients transform. Sometimes that transformation is shifting a negative thought or behaviour pattern. Sometimes it’s giving someone the space to work out what they really want from life. And sometimes it’s simply helping someone realise they’re not alone in what they’re going through.

In short, I’m just like many of the people who might visit this site. I’ve had times when I’ve felt unsure, stuck or uncertain about the direction I should take. The difference now is knowing that there is a way forward — and that asking for help is never a weakness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mind Management or Mind Coaching using the Control System method, is a simple and direct technique which, once we are both happy that the process has been successful, you can practice on yourself.

We do not need to revisit past trauma to make improvements (unless you wish to discuss it) and there is no traditional hypnotherapy/relaxation techniques so you will feel fully present and involved in the process at all times.

The CONTROL System is a direct, hands-on method of creating rapid and positive change in the way you think, feel and behave. The system utilises the way your mind works best, enabling you to get control of your subconscious patterns of thought, giving you the power to remove any blockages and limiting beliefs that hold you back.

By using direct communication with the most powerful and creative part of your mind the CONTROL system puts you back in charge of your own thoughts and responses.

No prior experience is needed.  You will learn all you need to in a consultation call and, if we agree that we can work together,  the first session (of three).  All you need is to be open to the process and want to make changes for the better

Everyone’s journey is different but in the majority of cases you will experience:

  • Insight into why you think/behave the way you do
  • Potentially faster habit or anxiety improvements than talk therapy
  • A feeling of more internal alignment

At my first meeting with Karen we had a basic assessment to ensure we could work together and get a positive outcome. Karen is 100% approachable and a great teacher. The control method she uses and teaches seems so simple, it is almost unbelievable, but it just worked for me.
